Project Activities of the Refugee Arts Project

 

RAP is currently involved in a number of activities. These include:

  • Forum Theatre training
  • Folk music activities
  • Cultural awaraness training for Hackney Housing staff (to improve access to and delivery of services
  • Music Classes (including in Primary schools)
  • Arts based mental health user activities
  • Refugee women photography project

Cultural Awareness training for Hackney Housing
 
Over 100 staff from Hackney Housing Services had been trained using forum theatre techniques and a short play around housing and access

Women's Photography Project
 
Women parents from DeBeauvoir Primary School took part in the 10 weeks long workshops to produce images of their own environment!

Our folk music activities aim to build bridges between generations and help local refugee communities to express and reproduce their culture,share it with with other communities and help them participate in it.
